A must for any steam-era layout, equipment like the Walthers Cornerstone Cinder Conveyor and Ash Pit could be found in terminals large and small. Based on a Fairbanks-Morse design introduced in the late 1920s, conveyors like this served until the last day of steam. The N Scale kit includes a detailed steel tower, positionable dump chute and bucket, plus a complete under-track pit for more realism. As shown, the Cinder Conveyor and Ash Pit kit measures: 1-1/8 x 1-3/4 x 3" 2.9 x 4.5 x 7.6cm Pit depth: 1/2" 1.3cm. The Cinder Conveyor and Ash Pit is one of a wide variety of Cornerstone N Scale railroad buildings.
